Dual Diagnosis Program Operates both an inpatient unit and community based services. It is a specialized program for individuals with a developmental disability and emotional, behavioural or psychiatric difficulties, their families and care providers.
Community Networks of Specialized Care On May 18, 2005, as part of the transformation of developmental services, the Ministry of Community and Social Services (MCSS) announced that four networks of specialized care would be established across the province. The purpose of the Networks is to enhance service to adults with a developmental disability who need specialized care for co-existing mental health and or/ behavioural issues.

University Affiliated Programs Authorized by the Developmental Disability Assistance and Bill of Rights Act, UAPs are found in every state and territory in the USA. Now called Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Services, they provide interdisciplinary academic, professional & community training, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment, research and publications. All include a wealth of information on services, training research and relevant weblinks. Some of these programs focus on the need for training in dual diagnosis.

Centre for Aging Persons with Developmental Disabilities (CAPDD) The University Affiliated Program of Indiana Focus on biopsychosocial changes associated with individuals. Includes training materials and best practice research investigating the efficacy of training approaches.
Ontario Partnership on Aging and Developmental Disabilities A partnership of service providers working in long term care and developmental disabilities, provincial associations, planning bodies, educational institutions and local initiatives. Autism Ontario Source of information and referral on autism and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. Members are connected through a volunteer network of Chapters throughout the Province of Ontario.
Center for the Study of Autism Provides information about autism to parents and professionals, and conducts research on the efficacy of various therapeutic interventions. Much of the research is in collaboration with the Autism Research Institute in San Diego, California.
